Our research

We are developing an exciting, novel speech and language therapy programme.

‘Better Conversations – communicating well with Parkinson’s’ involves a speech and language therapist coaching both someone living with Parkinson’s and a family member or friend. Together they build skills to make long-term improvements in day-to-day conversations.

Watch our video to find out more about our research.

This research is funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research from 2025 – 2029. Over this time, we will be thinking about:

  • how to measure the changes that this therapy makes

  • how to improve the therapy for people with different types of Parkinson’s

  • working towards showing that the therapy works and results in the changes that people want

Please get in touch with us if you need information, support or if you have a general query. We look forward to hearing from you.
