Planning a trial

How can we test out the therapy approach in a research trial?

What’s this about?

We’re getting ready to run a trial to test the Better Conversations with Parkinson’s therapy. We want to make sure it’s planned in the right way and includes a wide range of people.

What will we do together?

  • Help write the plan for the trial

  • Design information leaflets to invite people to take part

  • Come up with ideas to make sure we include people with different experiences, including those with advanced Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s with dementia, and Parkinson’s-like conditions

What can you add?

  • Share your views on what’s fair and respectful when inviting people to join research

  • Help us make sure the trial is inclusive and well planned

What will it look like?

  • Around 4–6 meetings (1.5 hours each) in early to mid-2026

  • Some decisions will be guided by research rules (ethics), but you’ll still have lots of chances to shape how things are done

Please get in touch with us if you need information, support or if you have a general query. We look forward to hearing from you.
